DIY Decorate Mud Cake

We’re taking the complicated out of Christmas. Now you can be a true cake decorating whiz without the fuss, thanks to Lombard’s frozen cake range and extensive edible decoration selection.

Lombard’s Cakes are perfect for pack and go or a fancy feast as they come frozen and keep at room temp for 28 days.

Here I’ve used a White Buttercream (425g) from Lombard as my base and added some oven-dried oranges to theme it to my table. Dried orange slices are so easy to make and look fabulous. I even use them as decorations for Christmas presents, and they smell incredible.

To make:

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 100C (212 F)
  2. Slice the oranges into 5-8mm slices. Place on an oven rack. Pop in the oven for approximately 3 hours turning every 45 mins. Once the time is up, leave them in the oven until cool.

There you go – festive and impressive.
